March Madness Coming To New York Ice Rinks

NYSAHA Championships

As the 2023-24 hockey season begins to wind down, the action is about to heat up as the top teams in the state will battle it out for bragging rights and perhaps a trip to compete for a USA Hockey National Championship.

Before teams can punch their ticket to Nationals, they must take care of business at the 2024 New York State Championship tournaments.

To get things started, we have a clash of eight high school club teams starting on March 1-3. All games will be played at the Kiwanis Ice Arena in Saugerties.

The same weekend will see a flurry of action taking place with Youth Tier I, II and III teams at the 12 & Under and 13 Only levels, along with a tournament featuring Girls Tier I and II 12 & Under teams. All games will take place at the Northtown Center at Amherst and the Cornerstone CFCU Arena in Lockport.

The weekend of March 8-10 will be dedicated to the best Girls’ action in the state at Tier I and II levels with teams at the 14 & Under, 16 & Under and 19 & Under ages facing off at the Northtown Center and the Cornerstone CFCU Arena.

The schedule shifts March 15-17 with a full slate of Youth Tier I and II games at the 14U, 16U, 18U and 15 Only (Tier I) level. Games will be spread out at the Northtown Center, Cornerstone CFCU Arena and Dwyer Ice Arena on the campus of Niagara University.

The month wraps up with Youth Tier III games at the 14U, 16U and 18U age divisions all taking place at the Northtown Center.
