He succeeded Walter Yaciuk as NY District Coach in Chief. It was under his direction that the network of coaching educators  around the state increased, as well as the materials used in the coaching education clinics. He was coach in chief for the 79-80 season thru the 82-83 season. He was the NYSAHA's first Director of Player Development.
