The NYSAHA is planning to hold its annual Player Development District Evaluation Camps for all female athletes with birth years from 2007 to 2010, from May 3-5, 2024 in Skaneateles. Regional tryouts in March were used to identify players who are advancing to the District Tryouts(07-10) and to the NYS Development Camp(10-12) to be held in July. Invitations to these events were sent to players who qualified through the Regionals on April 10th. Registration for the District Tryouts is currently open with a DEADLINE OF APRIL 21ST!!!
Registration for the Summer Development will not open until early May. This camp is for some 2010 players, and 2011, 2012 birthyears as well.
The District tryouts are used to identify and select players that will advance to USA Hockey Player Development Camps, Regional Multi-District Camps, the Eastern Regional 14 Camp, and the NYS Player Development Camp to be held this summer.
National USA Hockey Camps are for girls with 07, 08, or 09 birth years. Regional Camps are available for players with 07, 08, 09, or 10 birth years. The NYS Development Camp is available for girls with 10, 11, or 12 birth years.

REGIONAL TRYOUTS: MARCH 22-24
Regional Tryouts are open to any USAH registered female with birth years 2007 through 2012. Players will tryout in one of 4 locations to advance to the District Tryouts.
DISTRICT TRYOUTS: MAY 3-5 SKANEATELES
District tryouts are by invitation only. Invitations are extended to females with birth years 2007 - 2010 who have been evaluated at Regional Tryouts. Players will compete for the opportunity to advance to Regional and National Camps.
NYSAHA SUMMER DEVELOPMENT CAMP: JULY 25-31, 2024 AMHERST
The Girls Summer Development Camp is an overnight camp designed for younger females who have taken part in the Regional Tryouts. More details regarding this camp will be available soon!

On behalf of the entire NYSAHA Girls Player Development Program we'd like to thank the over 245 female athletes who participated in the recent District Tryouts. It is amazing how much the female game has advanced and you should all be proud of your efforts.
The skill level for this years tryouts was outstanding, making the job of the evaluation teams challenging and difficult. Regardless of your own individual results please know your involvement in making our sport the best it can be is appreciated.
In addition, all player selections for the Multi-District Camp in Bowling Green, along with alternate lists have been finalized and are posted below. The protocol for confirming participation, along with the process for alternate selection will be posted in the next few days.
All player selections for the Eastern 14 Camp in Massachusetts have been finalized and are posted below. Players selected to this camp will receive further instructions via email from the Camp Director. 2009 Birthyear players not invited to the Eastern 14 Camp will be given priority to attend the NYSAHA Summer Development Camp in July.
Players, as of May 24, 2023, USA Hockey has finalized the player selections for the Girls National Player Development Camps in accordance with the National Notification Timeline. At this time, all of our District players who have been selected to attend or who are alternates for one of the 2023 National Girls Player Development Camps have been notified.
DETAILED INFORMATION REGARDING THE EVALUATION RESULTS WILL NOT BE PROVIDED AFTER THE EVALUATION AND INDIVIDUAL PLAYER RANKINGS ARE NOT GIVEN OUT.
ONLY THE NAMES OF PLAYERS ADVANCING, OR CONSIDERED AS ALTERNATES, TO OTHER USA HOCKEY SPONSORED EVENTS WILL BE POSTED.
