2017 Annual Meeting - White Plains

The East Section hosted a successful Annual Meeting. Thank you Dave Mensi and his staff. The results of the meeting are now posted under the 2017 Annual Meeting tab.

Congratulations to our 2017 Award Recipients. At the Awards Dinner Friday evening the following individuals were recognized for their contributions to youth hockey in New York. Mark DeSimone received the Peter Rush Award for his long and strong commitment to youth hockey in NY. Fred Nielson received the Sandy Irwin Award for volunteer of the year, and Steve Ketchabaw received the Tom Korpolinski Award recognizing Steve for his contribution to the grassroots level hockey. Congratulations to our individual Award winners! In addition Joe Eppolito received the second annual USAH Coaching Program award, congratulations Joe!

The 2017 Bob Allen Scholarship winners are; Jack Becker from Manhasset, Lindsay Browning from Penfield, Andrew Kopplin from Delmar and Michael Steffan of Williamsville. Congratulations!

ALERT - Last year there were problems with goaltenders using masks that are not approved, and therefore illegal. Follow the link below for a flyer to help identify and remove illegal, unsafe masks.

 USA Hockey and Hockey Canada have put into writing the policy for playing across the border. To see the agreement follow the tab below.

USA Hockey has developed the American Development Model (ADM) with a simple goal: to give back to the kids. The program provides age-appropriate guidelines and curriculum to hockey associations across America to help more kids play. For more information and program content follow this link to
